Best: add it to Claude as a connector
Once added, Claude searches the site directly: no links to paste, and it reads the full text it quotes. Set up once, then use it in any chat.
-
Copy the connector address
https://law.robertlathamesq.org/mcp -
Add it in Claude
On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. Name it “Florida Dependency Law Finder”, paste the address, and add it. No account or sign-in is needed.
-
Ask your question
In a new chat, make sure the connector is turned on (in the chat's tools menu), then ask, for example: “Using the Florida Dependency Law Finder, can a court terminate parental rights on the ground of incarceration when the parent will be released before the child turns 18?”
Other assistants that accept custom MCP connectors (ChatGPT in developer mode, for one) take the same address.
Or: give any AI a link
For ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or any assistant that can open web pages, with nothing to set up.
-
Copy this link
https://law.robertlathamesq.org/ai/58b75b7e.md -
Paste it into your AI with your question
Open your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or another with web access) and ask it to read the link and research your question. To start from this wording, copy it and add your question at the end:
Read https://law.robertlathamesq.org/ai/58b75b7e.md and follow those instructions to research this question with the Florida Dependency Law Finder: your questionFor example: “… Can a court terminate parental rights on the ground of incarceration when the parent will be released before the child turns 18?”
Keep in mind
- Check what it gives you. Either way, the AI is told to cite only what it finds here and to link each case and statute to its page. Open the links and read the text before relying on anything it says: AI assistants can misread a case or overstate a holding.
- Don't include names or other identifying details from a real case in your question. The AI sends its searches to this public site over the open web; describe the facts in general terms.
- With a link, the AI needs to be able to open web pages. Some chat assistants can open only the links you paste yourself. If yours says it can't open a search link, it should give you the link: paste it back into the chat and it can continue. The connector avoids this.
- It's research, not legal advice. This site gathers public sources and is reviewed by AI and by a person, but text processing errors can occur. Always check against the official source linked on each page.
Building something? The instructions at /ai.md (also /llms.txt) describe every search and data address the AI uses: cases, statutes, rules, admin code, CFOPs, commonly cited cases and their later treatment.
